Roosevelt Island’s Only Hotel Has an Approved ARC System

On October 19th, we received another FDNY stamp of approval for our Auxiliary Radio Communication System at Roosevelt Island’s only hotel – The Graduate. RF Solutions presided over the smarts and parts of the project, but our partners ensured the system was installed correctly and met all FDNY standards. We were engaged early in the project, which allowed our design to incorporate the horizontal cables on the lower floors in the slab to address the 2-hour fire rating requirements. Early participation ultimately simplified the install process and saved the building owner money. 

The 20-story hotel at 22 North Loop Road on Roosevelt Island stands next to the Verizon Tech Executive Education Center and the Cornell Tech campus just south of the Queensboro Bridge. The hotel, which boasts unobstructed views of the NYC skyline from every room, completes the plan developed by Hudson Companies, Related Companies, and Brookfield. The hotel is also home to the Panorama Room, NYC’s newest rooftop bar.
