Luxury High Rise Condo in Gramercy Park

World-Renowned Architectural Firm OMA’s First NYC Building Gets

FDNY Letter of Approval

Phoenix Fire & Security Solutions has received FDNY approval on another ARCS system in conjunction with our firm, RF Solutions, for a Toll Brothers City Living project at 121 East 22nd Street in Manhattan.

“RF Solutions continues to impress us with their level of professionalism and expertise in this field. To have a partner like them in this competitive and challenging market is unprecedented,” says Val Sherer, Senior Vice President of Phoenix.

The building is the first residential property designed by world-renowned architectural firm, Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in NYC. Shohei Shigematsu designed the building. The 133-unit 18-story tall condo is comprised of two buildings connected at the base, sharing a common lobby. Our ARCS design followed the blueprint of the building with two separate risers, providing a balance of power between the two towers. Greg Capone, the Project Manager for CM & Associates, the construction management firm that built the structure, said, “We trusted RF Solutions to tackle certain hurdles on our project, and they did.  RFS came equipped with the knowledge and experience needed to satisfy the strict requirements of the FDNY.”

The project started in August 2017, and it was an all-inclusive design. We were responsible for the design, agency filings, and approvals, project management in the field, as well as monitoring and providing support and advice to Phoenix Fire & Security Solutions, the installers of the ARCS. Phoenix is one of our best installers – they’re attentive, team players that do what’s necessary to complete the job on time and budget.

RF Solutions takes pride in the work we do, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know that we play a part in making NYC safe for the people who live and work here.
