Another FDNY Letter of Approval – This time for 1903 West Farms Road

RF Solutions received another FDNY letter of approval for our ARC system at 1903 West Farms Road in the Corona Park East neighborhood in the Bronx. The newly constructed 15-story building is a mix of 218 units for households earning 60 percent of the area’s median income. This building is part of the West Farms redevelopment plan, revitalizing a vacated manufacturing district. Monadnock Development, and Signature Urban Properties, firms that are known for transformative redevelopment throughout the NY metropolitan area, developed the building, and Dattner Architects designed the structure. The Compass Residence is the fifth site and the first of the Compass Residences’ northern parcels and another successful partnership with High Rise Fire and Security.      

1903 West Farm Road was one of many RF Solutions ARCS projects, and as expected, it went very well. It was also a positive experience for the installer, Glo Electric, and they helped make the project go smoothly. Glo Electric provides the gold standard for ARCS installations. RF Solutions oversaw the project design and provided our Radio Command Series equipment, but it was our partners that ensured the system was installed correctly and met all DoB FDNY standards.  

An Auxiliary Communication System (ARCS) project can take years to complete, as there is an array of sub-contractors and local authorities in the critical path of a project.  The project requires collaboration among several different sectors of the overall construction team.
